ABOUT ME
Sadè Sellers is a director, screenwriter, and producer in Burbank, California. Initially from Michigan’s capital, Sadè has worked in the entertainment industry for over thirteen years. In 2017, she was a finalist for TvOne’s Screenwriting competition for her teleplay, The Replacement, which premiered on the platform in the summer of 2019.
Through that process, Sadè met casting director Leah Daniels-Butler and was hired by her production company, 1oneninety5, as Vice President of Content Acquisitions and Development. She then went on to spend the next two years learning the ecosystem of film and television development. Using that experience and being bound at home due to COVID-19, Sade’ returned to her first love, screenwriting, utilizing her free time to write new content.
This year, she will premiere her latest horror short, Picture, starring Jalyn Hall (Till, All American) and Danielle Jalade (Saturdays, Black Widow). At the same time, she continues to record her monthly horror review podcast, Afro Horror, which was recently adapted into a weekly blog series for Final Draft. In addition, Sadè enjoys cooking, baking, and catching up on programs such as Succession and Ted Lasso when she's not writing.
